My,  our boys  were on fire for their game against Oakleigh Canons last  Sunday, and thanks to Alison who played in the second half and did an amazing job!  There were two spectacular goals, both scored by Joseph within the opening few minutes of the match.  This set the whole tone of the game and the boys played like a well oiled machine for the entire game and certainly made Oakleigh, who are a very good team, work very, very hard. Our goalie for the first half, Campbell, was fantastic!  Oakleigh had some very good shots and Campbell just kept on stopping them, great job Campbell. Kayden did a fantastic job tackling Oakleigh and Dylans goals in the fist and second minute of the second half were just spectacular!  There were many fantastic  shots and some very near misses, which just goes to show how hard the kids all tried.  Hamish, our goalie for the second half also did a fantastic job and the goals scored by Daniel and Ronan were just brilliant.   Pierece is certainly getting into the spirit of the game of soccer and is playing really well and Alex did a great job attacking and had a few great shots at the net.

I think its fair to say that our boys are getting better and better with each game they are playing and most importantly are having an absolute blast playing for Boronia:)

Well done everyone you played a fantastic game and it was really very exciting to watch too,

Go Boronia!

Thanks Simone

Match Report from the Under 9's

Firstly welcome Pearce and Ronan and family to the club:)

Wow what a game! The kids all tried so hard and they certainly gave it everything they had. Cardinia were a strong team, but our Boronia boys kept up with them all the way and even though Cardinia won by a couple of goals, our goal scored by Joseph was an absolute cracker!! We had lots of opportunity to score, which is an indication of just how well the boys are playing as a team. Our goalies Daniel and Kyle did a fantastic job in keeping many more Cardinia goals out of the net and our defensive players were all instrumental in keeping the score down too. The score was not really indicative of how well our attackers and mid-fielders played the ball up the field and all in all it was a fantastic second game and we should be very proud of our boys, who after a few training sessions and only having played only two games as a team are doing a great job!!

Well done boys.

Go Boronia!!!

Cheers

Simone
